Excellent site: 3 nights. Good walks and peaceful area.
Spread out, calm site with excellent warm facilities. ( loo, basin and shower) and washing up area. Spotlessly clean site, and a friendly host. Mervyn who suggested a walk and a pub, and this was appreciated too.
Quick to respond to messages and booking was easy. Very good value for money. Very Covid aware with plenty of hand sanitizer at the facilities and at the gate.
Thank you, Alison and Chris from Derby

Pleasant site, Pro's & con's
Booked 3 nights at Southview March 2019. Pro's & Cons to the site, Pro's, beautiful location, splendid views, fantastic walking directly from the site, nice toilet block, warm, clean & tidy. Con's, unless you are happy without an awning the pitches are a bit narrow & as the site is on a slope & makes the erecting of an awning a bit difficult. It has the appearance of quite a new site & feel it was a missed opportunity not to terrace & make awning freindly. That said, for a short break, probably winter break, difficult to think of a better location.

Amazing little campsite with fantastic hosts!
We had a lovely stay at Southview in the late summer. We stayed two nights and pretty much had the place to our self. The site owners were fantastic to us. Our old camper indicators packed in, Mervyn got his son to open up is car garage and find us a new part - incredibly kind! Would go back, and probably will, in a heart beat!

Perfect Campsite
What a gem!! It was our first trip to Shropshire but definitely not our last. This site was spotless, dog friendly and so peaceful. Location excellent for touring and we enjoyed a walk through Carding Mill valley, fell in love with Church Stretton and Bishops Castle, we will be returning as so many more places to explore. Thankyou Merv for your friendly welcome and gorgeous site, have to admit its one of the nicest we have stayed at within the UK.

Sanctuary at Southview
We rang Merv at Southview on the off chance of pitching two caravans to include the Whitsun bank holiday. When we arrived we were treated to an altogether wonderful view of the valley below as the site is quite high. It’s actually in Wall Under Heywood, near Church Stretton without a large supermarket to be seen for miles. It’s at least 12 miles to the nearest one which is Sainsbury’s. But worry not because there is a Co-Op in Church Stretton, which although relatively small, meets all your needs. You do hear the occasional baa from some sheep in a nearby field and some bird chatter of course but it is a calm oasis. The site is beautifully laid out with grass and a flower bed in the middle with nine pitches all around with three being used as seasonal pitches leaving six which can be booked. The toilets and shower couldn’t be cleaner and instead of a hole in the ground the chemical disposal station has an actual toilet sunk into it which can also be flushed. Now there’s a sense of humour! Merv is a wonderful character who loves to have a chat with you occasionally but also leaves you alone to do your own thing. Telford with its famous Iron Bridge, Jackson Tile Museum and Coalport Museum takes a little over half an hour to reach and it takes about the same time to reach Shrewsbury. Sorry I forgot to take any photos but it’s well worth a visit. I shall be back!

Fab Site
Beautiful views over Corvedale, lambs on two sides make this an idyllic spot. Washrooms are very clean and warm. Lots of extras like blocks that you may need or have not got. Great hard standings. Picnic table in the middle. Owners are very friendly too. We will be back.

Absolute Bliss
We are regular visitors to this site and it never fails to put a smile on our faces, regardless of the weather rain or shine. The views from every pitch cannot fail to make you relax and just chill out.. there are many walks directly from the site, there is a pub within walking distance but it is down a well used road..Taxi service available just speak to Mervyn the owner of this fabulous site, all pitches are hard standing with its own water and electric and with a secure gated entrance. It is small and immaculately presented, offering well manicured hard standing pitches for up to 9 vans. The shower/toilet facilities are spotless and well heated. Mervyn is one of the nicest site owners you will meet and will help you in any way he can with a big smile on his face and he really does care about his visitor's. Its impossible to say anything negative about the hidden gem... maybe I shouldn't have said anything as it may get too full next time we want to visit .....

Nice little site
A nice site. Arranged in a circle of 9 pitches, every pitch gives good views. Pitches are hard standing and each has a water tap and an electric plug. Some are longer and enable you to park in front of your van, other you need to park either on the circle track, or if there's an empty pitch (like next to us) we parked out cars on there instead.
The entrance gate is locked with a combination lock, allowing access 24hrs.
The owner, Mervyn, is very friendly and came over to chat to us as we were sat outside having a brew.
The site has a waste point, bins and washing up sink.
The only possible downside I could have was there are only 1 male and female rooms in the ablutions. This didn't affect us on our visit as there was only 3 vans on site at the time, but may cause problems when full. Each room contains a shower, sink and toilet. The showers only work on the old £1 coins or 20p's and you get 1 min/20p. The showers are powerful and the water is hot straight away, no waiting around for it to warm up and waste your money.
Taxi to Church Stretton cost us £8 for a night out.
I'd highly recommend this nice little site to anyone. There's no traffic sounds, only countryside sounds (like sheep etc) and it's so nice to sit out at any time of day and look at the scenery with a brew.

An absolute gem!
My partner and I enjoyed our first stay on this site over a fabulously sunny and warm long weekend (three nights) at the beginning of May 2017. I have been a member of both national clubs for over 25 years and rarely has a site exceeded my expectations like this one did. It is small and immaculately presented, offering well manicured hard standing pitches for up to 9 vans and a small number of tents. Each spacious hard standing has its own water and electricity supply, and the shower/toilet facilities are spotless and well heated.

The location offers spectacular views and is a restful oasis for those not wanting to do much other than chill out by their caravan or tent. However, less than 10 minutes away in a car is the Long Mynd which offers fantastic well signposted walking opportunities for the more active. A little further by car allows easy access to the 'must see' towns of Ludlow and Much Wenlock with an abundance of restaurants, shops and character filled pubs.

The site owner, Mervyn, is one of the nicest people you will ever meet and genuinely cares about looking after his 'customers'. We were warmly welcomed and even had to chase Mervyn to pay him ... how often does that ever happen!! In short, we can't recommend this caravan and camping site highly enough ... a hidden gem in a most beautiful location. By the way, when you do go you must try the 15th Century Royal Oak pub in Cardington which is 2 miles away and is in the current Good Beer Guide for a reason!

Fantastic site!!
My wife and I stayed for 10 days at Easter. It was brilliant. We never realised that Shropshire was so beautiful with stunning scenery and great walking. The site is clean, well maintained and Merv the owner was very helpful and a pleasant chap too! Lovely quiet site, away from it all, but still near enough to get a good pint!!

Fabulous campsite - great stay
My family and I stayed on the lovely site for 3 nights in February. We were greeted on arrival by the owner which always gives a great start. The campsite was spotless - hard to achieve in wintry Feb but it is clean tidy and very well maintained . Quiet and peaceful with stunning views, lots of great walks in this area and easy reach of local towns just a few minutes drive away. We had a lovely stay and will certainly recommend it to people and will be returning ourselves.

Four night visit, JANUARY 2017, in small camper van
Very warm welcome, very quiet superbly maintained site, taking limited (?9) number of vans. Good hardstandings, each with own water and hook up. Toilet / shower unit consists of one male and one female room each containing toilet, basin and shower. Beautifuly warm and clean units. Easily accessed chemicl disposal.
Only very slight criticism - showers operate by coin, £1 or 20p coins. 20p gives 1 minute but that is timing whether you run the water or not. Might be fairer if it was 20p water running time. However, not really a problem and water is very hot.
Excellent area for walking cycling and we look forward to re visits.
